As I look at the growth of our Lamond and Tolson campuses over the years, I am extremely proud of what we have achieved, and even more excited about our outlook for an equally promising future.
In 2016, the DC Public Charter School Board granted our Local Education Agency (LEA), Hope Community Public Charter School, continuance to operate in the District of Columbia at out 10-year charter review. This was a significant accomplishment, and we are now actively preparing for our 15-year charter renewal in the 2019-2020 school year.
With dedicated school leaders, teachers, and staff members, we are committed to transforming our campuses and reaching Tier status I in the District of Columbia. We understand that impacting student outcomes is hard work, but we are up for the challenge. We believe that all children deserve a quality learning environment where impactful and engaging learning is at the forefront of all that we do. We believe that all students can learn at high-levels when they are encouraged and challenged in a supportive learning environment. We believe in teaching the whole child in a caring and loving environment where we help to develop their character and enrich their minds. With that said, we sincerely thank our parents for choosing and partnering with us to make this a reality.
As we move forward, feel free to send us suggestions on how we can become better. We are open to feedback and truly understand that it takes a village to raise a child. Again, thank you for choosing Hope Community Public Charter School. Let’s continue to build a strong and cohesive partnership so that every child realizes his or her potential.
