The books I read as a child, those books I went back to over, and over, and over and over have stuck with me throughout adulthood. They were the books that I used to transport me to different worlds. They were escape. As an adult, I still use them to “run away”. A Wrinkle in Time, Phantom Tollbooth, the Hobbit, and Bunnicula were the books I used to “run-away” from the real world. These were the authors that inspired me to write and read, and ultimately become a librarian.
